On the morning pace we lend each other

Nothing hard today.

MORNING

Workout wise it was quite an easy and boring workout today. Did a zone 2 running for almost 7-8 kilometers. The watch shows 6.22 km (avg HR 132). Then came back home and on indoor trainer on my whoosh. Did a bike ride for 30 minutes.

There was nothing hard today, however I was still feeling a lot of emotions.

Today, for reasons not known to me, I was feeling a bit emotional and had quite a cleanse of my emotions, cleanse of body of through letting out my emotions, just sitting by myself.

I am regularly struggling with lack of sleep as last night also we had family over for dinner. Today I am prioritizing on my sleep also. On my way to work today I did a Wim Hof breathing and I am hoping that I can continue with Wim Hof breathing for next six months continuously every day.

Today while doing zone 2, I learned that you have to help others to help yourself. I was running with a runner who was running at zone 4 and I was running at zone 2. I was helping him to keep up the pace while he was helping me to slow down. It is not arrogance but humility that we could keep up with each other.

And I really appreciated him to keep up with me because I cannot keep going consistently at zone four. I need to slow down to fill to better my microchondria.

There was nothing hard today.

Why I'm doing this

I am not training to finish my race in November. I am training to be the best version of myself.

This is a public ledger. Every workout — the good, the boring, the ones I would rather not remember — gets logged here automatically from Strava. No filtering. No retroactive story arc.

I am 40-something, working a real job, training around it. The interesting stuff is not the race day. It is the ordinary morning before work. The lap before the rhythm clicks. The kilometre where the mind stops narrating and the body just gets on with it.

Melbourne is the deadline. Showing up is the point.
